Committees

The following committees are active in our Society:

• College Organizing Committee

Education and Research Committee (ERC)

The main task of the ERC will be as follows.

1. Helping the LOC of the Congress in compiling the subjects and related speakers for the EVECCS Congress program.
2. Evaluation and screening of the free communications and posters for the EVECCS Congress, organize the judging of them during the congress by independent judges, and preparing them for publication in JVECC.
3. Representing EVECCS at the SEVC in Barcelona.
4. Evaluation of proposals of scientific or educational courses, meetings, seminars , seeking EVECCS’ support and approval.

Financial Committee (FC)

The main task of the FC is to “investigate the accounts” of EVECCS. This means the FC has to check all the bills and movement over the account of EVECCS in the year before the AGM takes place and has to check the explanations the Treasurer gives for these movements.

Local Congress Organizing Committee 2012 (LOC 2012)

The task of the Local Congress Organizing Committee is to organize the yearly scientific EVECCS Congress. In 2012 the congress will be held in Barcelona, Spain.

Nominating Committee (NC)

The main task for the Nominating Committee is to find candidates for open positions in the General Board.

Public Relation and Advertisement Committee (PRAC)

The main tasks of the Public Relation and Advertisement Committee are the development of a new house style for EVECCS, the development and design of a new website (in cooperation with the WITC Chair) and the design and development of advertisement material including a portable information stand for EVECCS and its Congress. The PRAC is also responsible for setting up a list of all sponsors and their contacts that have been supporting EVECCS over the years.

Standard of Practice Committee (SPC)

The main task of the Standard of Practice Committee is to develop guidelines and standards of practice.

Website and Information Technologies Committee (WITC)

The main task for the Website and Information Technologies Committee will be to maintain the website of EVECCS.

College Organizing Committee

The College Organizing Committee is responsible for working under EBVS guidelines to prepare and submit an application to form a European College of ECC.
