15th EVECC Congress
From June 3rd to June 5th 2016 the 15th Congress of the European Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society (EVECCS) will be held at the Grand Hotel Union in Ljubljana, Slovenia. One big thing will change compared to previous years. From now on the yearly congress will be a joint effort of EVECCS and ECVECC, the European College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care. Therefore the new name will be the European Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Congress or EVECC Congress. But everything else will stay the same. The Congress will continue to be a great opportunity for high quality continuing education in the field of ECC and a nice meeting place for veterinarians and veterinary technicians from all over the world.
The theme for the coming Congress will be “Trauma - what have we learned in the last decade". The meeting is a unique opportunity for scientific and collegiate interaction within veterinary emergency medicine. The Congress will be planned as a 3-day scientific meeting including a one-day precongress symposium with the theme "Endocrine disorders in your ER". In addition to three scientific streams (refresher, advanced and nurses) there will also be some lectures on veterinary management. Delegates also have the possibillity to attend several dry- and wetlabs and a daily poster session. A commercial exhibition will be the meeting point for all attendees and companies that are involved in veterinary emergency and critical care. As usual a fantastic social program will be organized, and delegates are invited to join the Royal Canin young vets dinner, the welcome reception and the Gala Dinner.
