14th EVECCS Congress

Lyon, France
14th EVECCS Congress

From June 11th to June 14th 2015 the 14th Congress of the European Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society (EVECCS) was held at the Veterinary School of Lyon.

The theme for the congress was “Kidneys: the filters of life”. The meeting provided a unique opportunity for scientific and collegiate interaction within veterinary emergency medicine. The meeting was planned as a 3-day scientific meeting including a one-day pre-congress symposium about Leptospirosis. In addition to three scientific streams (refresher, advanced and nurses) there was the possibillity to attend several drylabs and a daily poster session. A commercial exhibition was the meeting point for nurses, veterinarians and companies that are involved in veterinary emergency and critical care. A fantastic social program (Royal Canin young vets dinner, the welcome reception and the Gala Dinner) gave us the opportunity to meet old friends and make new ones.

We all look back at a very successfull congress and want to thank the Lyon Local Organizing Committee for a great job. We hope to see you all in Ljubljana, Slovenia for the 2016 EVECC Congress. Yes, without the ´S´ because from next year the Congress will be a joint venture off EVECCS and ECVECC.
