EVECCS meetings always
give the possibility to meet new interesting
people and to exchange ideas with
colleagues from all over the world.
The social program for EVECCS 2008 offers
the attendees every
evening a chance to relax, enjoy music
and to eat and drink.
Thursday – evening
the 29th May
After 19.00
Get-together at
The Bishops Arms pub. For those arriving
early it could be nice to join and meet
each other at this pub. The pub is situated
just beside the congress hotel Elite
Park Avenue.
Cost: drinks at
own expense.
Friday – evening
the 30th May

Gothenburg city
together with EVECCS offer all congress
attendees a welcome reception. The reception
will be held at Universeum, a science
museum and zoo, within walking distance
of the congress hotel. Accompanied by
a jazz quartet, a cocktail buffet and
drinks will be served in the large aquarium
hall of the museum.

Saturday – evening
the 31st May
19.30-02.00
A five minute walk
from the congress hotel you will find
the old villa Valand. The building has
an impressive 19th century architecture.
This house will set the stage for the
2008 EVECCS gala dinner. After a welcome
drink a three course dinner will be
served. Guests will get the chance to
dance to a live band that will play
into the early hours of the Sunday morning.

the 1st June

After the closing
of the congress the attendees will be
served a goodbye-drink in theTaube-room
at the congress hotel.
Cost: none.
