Harold graduated receiving a BA
degree in biology. For many years
he has worked as a veterinary
technician in a leading role.
He has extensive experience in
the field of emergency and critical
care medicine. Harold is an experienced
lecturer and has published several
book chapters and journal articles.

Hopper DVM, BVSc, MVS, DACVECC

Assistant Professor
of Small Animal Emergency and Critical
Care UC Davis. Kate graduated in
Melbourne in 1991. She became a
Diplomate of theAmerican College
of Veterinary Emergency and Critical
Care in 2002at UC Davis. She currently
is an Assistant Professor of Small
AnimalEmergency and Critical Care.
Her research interests include mechanical
ventilation, acid base and sepsis. |

Wiinberg DVM, PhD

Coordinator
of the emergency and critical
care service at the Small Animal
Veterinary Teaching Hospital in
Copenhagen, Denmark. Bo graduated
from the Veterinary University
in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2003.
He is a staff veterinarian at
the Small Animal University Hospital
in Copenhagen. Bo successfully
defended his PhD on the diagnosis
of DIC in dogs in 2007. He currently
mainly works with referral cases
within oncology, hemostasis and
ICU patients.

Head of Emergency
and Critical Care services at
California Animal Hospital Jennifer
graduated in 1988 and became a
Diplomate of the American
College of Veterinary Emergency
and Critical Care in 1996. She
subsequently completed a surgical
residency studying in private
practice in the USA. Jennifer
has published many articles and
book chapters, and is an experienced
speaker in the field of emergency
veterinary medicine.

Associate Professor
in small animal surgery at the Vetsuisse
faculty of Bern Switzerland David
graduated in 1988 in Bern, Switzerland
and is board certified in Veterinary
Surgery (ECVS) and in Veterinary
Emergency and Critical Care (ACVECC).
He currently is an associate professor
in small animal surgery at the Vetsuisse
faculty of Bern. He is well respected
for his expertise
in traumatology and emergency surgery. |

Nyman DVM, PhD, DECVA
Uppsala, Sweden
Freelance Consultant
In Anaesthesia. Görel graduated
from the Veterinary Faculty in Uppsala
and gained her PhD in 1987. She
became a Diplomate of the European
College of Veterinary Anaesthesia
in 1998 and has been responsible
for teaching and the clinical anaesthesia
service at the Veterinary Faculty.
Today
Görel works as a freelance
consultant in anaesthesia. |

is a 1975 graduate of Texas A&M
University. He earned his Diplomat

is a professor at Texas A&M
University. His interests include
gastroenterology, hepatology, pancreatology
and endoscopy. He has written multiple
publications and book chapters,
and has given many hours of continuing

section. Martins special interest
is in diagnostic imaging and cardiology
and he has been working with CT

is a medical doctor and graduated

Her main subject of interest is

patients. She became a specialist
in diagnostic radiology and associate
professor at the Hospital of Aarhus
in 2001. She is an Advanced Trauma
and Live Support instructor. |

ACVECC Diplomate in 2000. He currently

State University. He is a respected
